THE OLD PULTENEY
IRC SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIP 2008
7th and 8th JUNE 2008
Old Pulteney Single Malt Whisky and the Mudhook Yacht Club are delighted to be bringing Scotland’s exciting yacht racing event the ‘Old Pulteney IRC Scottish Championship 2008’ to Kip Marina for the third year. Taking place on the 7th and 8th of June the races will be held on the Firth of Clyde between Cloch Point and the Great Cumbrae Island.
The Championship Series is limited to IRC yachts with a rating of 0.850 and above. The races will consist of short windward-leeward courses using temporary inflatable marks. It is the intention to sail three races on the 7th June and two races on the 8th June.
Similar races will be run for a Sportboat class for Sportboats with a SBR of 0.950 or less.

Social events are also based at Kip Marina. There will be a social gathering on the Saturday evening in “The Shed” and the prize giving in the Chartroom on Sunday afternoon from 16.30 hrs or as soon as possible thereafter.
Kip Marina has offered a special VAT included rate for participants of £20 for the weekend or £10 for the Saturday night. This has to be booked directly with Kip Marina - 01475 521485. The Chartroom at Kip Marina can also supply breakfast on both mornings and lunch packs on both days. These have to be ordered directly from the Chartroom - 01475 520919.
Note that an additional late entry fee of £10.00 will be payable for entries received after 2nd June.
