Racing on the Clyde, moving with the times!
The Mudhook Yacht Club was formed in 1873 and encourages Amateur Yacht Sailing on the Firth of Clyde, Yacht Building and all matters connected with the same.
The number of members shall not exceed forty (and one forbye), exclusive of Senior Members and Honorary Life Members.
It has no fixed shore base. It organises yacht racing and cruising events on the Clyde and West Coast of Scotland.
The 2024 Regatta was in a new format from earlier years being a one day Regatta off Inverkip on 1 June being part of the new season-long championship series exclusively for boats racing 2-handed.
It was found to be a successful format with thirty yachts in total overall competing in the Series and considered to be the way forward for a substantial number of owners now wishing to race with minimum crew.
The 2 Handed Series has again proved to be successful in 2025. The Committee are finalising plans for 2026 and will publish the NOR’s here and on sicial media as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support in 2025, we look forward to seeing you all on the water in 2026.
